Coulson and Daisy getting it on in a hand to hand fight, seriously the best scene of this season. Unfortunately it only lasted about 30 seconds since it was a simulation. And then they go off to Alaska to find Director Mace, only to find his battle suit, which had GPS, and a ‘Coulson-wall’. And thus a game of Treasure Hunt.
We get a look into a past mission of Coulson and May, with a surprisingly nice haircut, in Russia. Turns out they were heavily flirting back in the day, back when May just started dating Andrew. If only things didn’t work out with Andrew back then, Coulson and May would have been together for years already.
Mack needs to get of his high horse against Fitz. Sure he made a mistake to participate in Radcliffe’s AIDA project, but he has shown his remorse and has been trying to stop Radcliffe ever since then. Let it go man, just let it go.
Meanwhile Mace no longer has his Kool Aid Juice powers and is first beaten down by Ivanov and later by four other man, while AIDA stands by watching.
When the team finally finds Ivanov, it’s Coulson who wins the first round. Since Ivanov is more interested in telling Coulson his origin story, he just keeps on talking. But there is one thing that Coulson does better than anyone, and that is talking and shutting people up. Boom, that’s round one! The second round, he leaves to Daisy, who is happy to finally get it on with the head of the Watchdogs.
Mace is saved, Ivanov is down and AIDA escaped, probably with May. And that’s when things get interesting. It turns out that the reason why Fitz-Simmons had trouble getting in contact with Coulson, Mack and Daisy is because they’re not Coulson, Mack and Daisy. They are new LMD’s placed by AIDA, joined by LMD-Mace. And when Fitz-Simmons realize that, they realize that they can only trust each other from now on.
- Seeing Mace shirtless and all sweaty like that isn’t bad, not bad at all. Could it be that we have a replacement for shirtless Ward. I hope so, because I like what I’m seeing.
- Be honest, who forgot about the Watchdogs? I for one, totally forgot about that storyline.
- I’m sorry, but I’m not really feeling the Coulson-May love connection. Maybe this would have worked back in season 1, but not anymore. Whereas in other shows the love connections keep building, till friendship just isn’t an option anymore, here it’s the other way around. Coulson and May work best as friends and a team, this whole love storyline feels to forced for me.
